About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic numerically minded individual, that has a keen interest in data and can think creatively around a brief and challenge, as necessary. You must have a keen interest in programming, analytics and data, be excited to cross skill, have good problem-solving skills and be ready to research and learn new techniques that can be applied to the task at hand.
We work in an agile fashion and are looking for someone who can work independently as well as part of a diverse team whilst delivering to agreed timelines in a fast-paced and changing environment. Training will be offered on any new technologies or area.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a multi-disciplined team building visualisation & reporting capabilities, empowering people across the business to make better decisions. The main duties include:
- Developing reports and dashboards to enhance and replace existing reports using new reporting tools including Looker and our in-house portal.
- Developing an in-depth understanding of our Data departments such as Pricing and Claims Solutions, enabling you to identify areas and opportunities for development and efficiencies.
- Becoming an effective point of contact for other departments to discuss business problems and potential solutions.
- Assisting in training and onboarding new users to the tool set and managing the change created by a new way of working.
- Managing the semantic layer within our BI tools.
- Ensuring the platform operates efficiently, meeting business SLAs.
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience with a programming language ideally SQL, Python, R or Java.
- Experience working in a BI tool such as Looker, Microstrategy or Power BI.
- A genuine interest in Data and Analytics and driving forward our capability in the field.
- Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Curious mindset with a desire to explore and learn about new tools and tech.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Interview Process
There will be a pricing test and a one stage interview.

We do not have a set salary for this position, as it will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience. We are happy to see CVs from all candidates who meet the requirements and will be happy to discuss the remuneration package.
