Data Analyst
We are looking for someone with a passion for telling engaging and informative stories through data and insights. You will own our reporting suite, creating dashboards to monitor the business impact of our data science models and delivering data-driven insights.
Data and technology take centre stage in delivering our market-leading products, and we have a large data science function that builds and deploys machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for all business areas. This role would be within the Customer Data Science team, which focuses on optimizing and personalizing the customer journey.
However, we don’t like to stand still and with over 4 million interactions with our customers every day, we have a lot of data that can be put to good use. Now that we have an established experienced function, we are looking for a data analyst to join our Customer Data Science team.
Main duties
- Manage our reporting suite, creating MI reports and data visualisations to draw insights, monitor performance and communicate to data scientists, management, and stakeholders.
- Translate complex data-driven findings into actionable insights and strategies.
- Enhance existing MI and apply innovative thinking to improve our offering and streamlining delivery.
- Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests.
- Effective stakeholder relationship management – ensure we understand, shape, and develop solutions that are aligned to business needs and priorities.
- Engage with requests and queries from stakeholders and confidently seek out necessary information.
- Adopt existing best practices and contribute to improving them.
About You
We are looking for an inquisitive pro-active individual who enjoys using visualisations to get people engaged and inspired by data. You have a strong eye for what looks visually informative with strong attention to detail. You are confident to make recommendations or raise concerns based on reporting trends. You have a keen desire to take on challenges, learn new skills and initiative to improve existing methods.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience working with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, MicroStrategy.
- Experience of analysing large quantities of data from multiple sources to identify patterns and trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report results in a clear and meaningful way.
- Strong organisation and time management skills. Ability to manage, oversee and prioritise multiple work items at once.
- Confidence in producing and interpreting numerical data.
- Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
Interview Process
There will be a two stage interview including an assesment.
