JOB TITLE: Cloud Security Architect
SALARY: The salary banding for this role is £68,202 - £75,780
LOCATION: Preference is for the vacancy to be filled in Manchester but for the right candidate we would consider Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds or Halifax.
HOURS: 35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity
The Cloud Platform team is on the journey to create the next generation technical platform for Lloyds Banking Group that will be at the core of one of the UK's biggest financial service transformations. We're looking for a Cloud Security Architect to Join our Cloud Security Architecture team.
We're seeking a highly experienced, motivated and innovative hands-on Security Architect, to play a pivotal role in the delivery and technical direction of our platform. You'll be responsible for architecting complex systems and solving challenging problems.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience with an architecture focus, Security or Cloud Platform Architects with security knowledge and interest.
You’ll document reference, and retrospective, exec level architecture, architectural patterns and blueprints and architecture decisions.
You’ll review external architecture proposals as they are presented, calling out issues and security concerns. You’ll produce high-level designs for security related products and features and understand and follow secure-by-design principles. Whilst performing a Security Assessment to understand, document and surface perceived exposure and threats

What you’ll need
- Experience in Platform/Infrastructure Security
- Experience with public cloud: Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- Understanding of API-based architectures
- Experience in Securing AKS/GKE/Istio (Kubernetes)
- Understanding of Cryptography – Keys, certificates
- Experience with secret management solutions and network security – WAF/WAP/Firewalls
And any experience of these would be really useful
- Ability to be hands-on to perform basic PoCs to better understand products and assist with designs and reviews
- Previous experience in a similar security focused role
- Have worked in a DevOps/Automation centric environment
- Operate as a self-starter, able to manage their workload, and identify and plan their next tasks
