The program scope continues to evolve and encompasses cultural, behavioral, procedural and systemic transformation across the full range of data domains (such as reference, market and transaction). Chief Data Office offers a unique perspective into the role of data in the financial industry, partnering with a variety of stakeholders across sub-LOBs, Corporate Functions and the Firm wide Data Management organization.

The successful candidate will join a local team of 7 reporting into VP Data Governance and be part of a global team focused on delivering business impact through creating and implementing a data governance and data controls framework across the CIB assuring full compliance with the Firmwide Data Policy and Standard. The role will require working with stakeholders across the CIB, other LOBs and Corporate Functions to ensure fit-for-purpose data, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units.
This role provides an outstanding opportunity at JPMorgan Chase for the selected candidate to join a high profile team and take a partnership role, supporting one of the Bank’s most significant change programs.
Job responsibilities:
Support & lead the team to deliver global CIB CDO Data Governance, Records Management Remediation, Data Quality, Data Use, Privacy, Protection & Storage, including all relevant sub-LOBs :
Date Governance and Information Data Management.
- Build and maintain Data Governance dashboards including data sourcing, extraction, transformation, loading and visualization (Alteryx / Tableau / QlikView) including metric calculations and thresholds
- Suggest and work with stakeholders to build Key Risk Indicators and control KPI’s for effective Data Governance and adequacy.
- Produce and disseminate MIS reporting including from dashboards and other manual sources as needed, including training metrics sourced from HR (eLearning reports). Collaborate & Build strong partnerships with Business stakeholders & Technology teams to support Data Governance strategy / plan.
- Maintain CIB CDO documentation (procedures, charters, operating models, job aids, etc.) including tracking of periodic refreshes
- Track and chase the completion of tasks within the CIB CDO and the CIB sub-LOBs e.g. training completion, surveys, etc.
- Help create presentations to assist in delivering consistent messages to our partners, stakeholders, regulators and clients.
- Support the adoption and implementation of the Corporate & Investment Bank Data Owner and Chief Data Office governance roles and responsibilities as needed.
Required qualification, capabilities, and skills
- 3+years’ experience in Financial Services. (Experience in Investment Banking and/or Data Governance/management preferred)
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.)
- Experience in Tableau or Alteryx would be useful
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
- Capacity to think laterally and convey an understanding of the big picture
- Basic understanding of project management lifecycle and Technology SDLC (software development lifecycle)
- Experience of Data Management principles.
Preferred qualification, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in Data Management and Risk metrics along with querying database/data stores for data analysis
- Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills - candidate will be dealing with stakeholders of varying degrees of seniority across Corporate/Firmwide, Finance, Risk, Compliance , Operations and Technology teams
- Experience in producing PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders
- Exposure to tools/technologies such as Alteryx/Tableau/SQL/QlikView
