Sitting within this team is the key role of Business Intelligence Analyst with a combined reporting, improvement and insights remit.

Role

  • Use SQL to process, structure and store data for use in BI reporting
  • Liaise with finance and IT to ensure reporting is correct and fits our data architecture
  • Work with sales managers to ensure reports are concise, actionable and accurate
  • Work with operations managers to maintain visibility of key business processes and KPIs

  • Produce ad-hoc BI reports to meet rapidly changing business needs

Business improvement

  • Quickly develop an advanced understanding of how ERP systems can be best used to improve business practice and maintain data integrity

  • Provide ongoing support for existing PowerApps and other BI applications

Key requirements

  • Fluent in SQL and advanced user to Excel
  • Proven experience of PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualisation tool
  • Previous use of an ERP system would be useful but not essential for the right aptitude (ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central)
  • Strong understanding of how IT systems, data structures and reporting technologies interact
  • Ability to understand user needs and effectively visualise data in response to them
  • Strong analytical rigour and attention to detail while appreciating wider business implications
  • Commercially astute with strong communication and prioritisation skills
