Business Analyst

The Business Analyst interfaces with client and internal business teams regarding business problems, issues, and opportunities in the context of business requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle. Analyses business information, translates requirements into functional specifications and champions client and/or internal business needs while balancing the priorities, capabilities and constraints of client and Acxiom environments.
Captures and clearly illustrates the needs of the client using the appropriate standard business analysis tools and techniques such as business requirements catalogues, use-cases, user-stories, and business models (BPMN, swim lanes, BAM).
What you will do:
- Determine activities necessary to complete Requirements Management effort, including identification of stakeholders, and the selection of Requirements Management and business analysis techniques in accordance with the guiding principles of the Acxiom Delivery Methodology.
- Facilitate client facing requirement sessions and use the appropriate elicitation techniques to obtain information from key stakeholders.
- Organise complex information provided by stakeholders, formulating information into business, functional, and non-functional requirements, documented in a correct, clear, concise, comprehensive, and cohesive format.
- Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the client to achieve their goals while balancing the climate, priorities, capabilities, and constraints of both the client and Acxiom.
What you will need:
- Experience eliciting and managing large volumes of detailed business and functional requirements.
- Experience writing requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, user-stories, and change requests.
- Experience of working within a variety of software development lifecycles methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile) and able to amend business analysis approach as appropriate.
- Experience working in an external client facing environment.
- Able to liaise, manage and negotiate with business stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience within database marketing, direct marketing, or interactive marketing environments as well as an understanding of general data warehousing principles.
- Excellent English, bilingual in German is a nice to have
