Associate Data Engineer

In this role you will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing scalable analytical solutions that will impact the future portfolio of LEGO experiences.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and deploy Planning Analytics models and applications to enhance the work of our Product Portfolio Management and Planning experts.
- Take part in design and implementation of the product team’s new data infrastructure to ensure a strong and efficient data pipeline.
- Integrate our Planning Analytics application with our corporate digital ecosystem of data lake and APIs to help the company increase value of data.
- Follow modern engineering practice and disciplines, working closely with product manager, designer and engineering colleagues to ensure the solution meets the ideal value outcome for the business.
- Ensure solid delivery through documentation, reviews, and adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities.

Product Delivery Technology is a crucial component of the Consumer and Marketing Technology organization within Digital Technology. Our department is dedicated to the creation of innovative solutions, spanning portfolio planning, digital element design, digital building experiences, workflow management and digital content distribution. We operate at the intersection of innovation, creativity, and technology, committed to delivering solutions that drive excellence across different domains in the LEGO Group. Our product team is focused on enabling the Product Portfolio Management and Planning experts to provide the best possible tools and solutions for decision support to senior stakeholders when forming the future portfolio of LEGO experiences.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven experience in Data modelling and analytics.
- Knowledge about data integration concepts, APIs, and Data lake.
- Demonstrated ability to work with SQL and BI concepts, and basic ability to utilize JavaScript.
- Strong mindset for collaboration and not afraid to extent your area of expertise, learn new skills, and play your part in both front-end and back-end of the applications as the team and systems mature.
- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Python scripting or similar applied analytical languages, as more advanced analytical use cases are on our roadmap.
