Associate Analyst
Knight Frank’s market-leading Living Sectors Research team is at the forefront of the residential investment and development sector in the UK and Europe. We are looking to recruit an Associate Research Analyst to join our Student Property research and consultancy division.
This role focuses on delivering exceptional research services to our external clients and the internal Student Property team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the decision-making processes of both internal and external stakeholders through data analysis and research. You will be engaged in a variety of projects across key service lines, collaborating with agency, valuation, consultancy, and other research disciplines such as Geospatial and Data Science.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-quality analysis of key external and proprietary databases to support the Student Property and Living Sectors Research team.
- Prepare bespoke outputs for stakeholders, including data books, dashboards, and written reports.
- Develop and manage research consultancy projects related to Student Property.
- Oversee research projects from commissioning to presentation.
- Create and deliver market presentations to support client meetings.
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from the wider research team and stakeholders.
- Establish market trends and drivers in collaboration with wider research team.
- Manage Analysts and Senior Analysts within the Student Property research service line.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the UK Student Property Research Team.
Operating Environment:
- Based within the Living Sectors Research team, part of the Global Research team at Knight Frank.
- Report directly to Matthew Bowen, Head of Living Sectors Research & Consultancy.
- Focus on delivering research services to external clients and the internal Student Property team.
Experience & Skills:
- University degree (1st or 2:1) or relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in an analytics or real estate research role.
- Exceptional numeracy skills and a strong ability to derive insights from data.
- Demonstrated accuracy in manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate research effectively to diverse audiences.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Interest in Student Property and policies related to residential investment, development, and Higher Education.
Systems:
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel, is essential.
- Experience with at least two of the following: GIS, SQL, PYTHON, R, SPSS, Excel Macros, Power BI, Flourish, Macrobond, and real estate data systems (e.g., RCA, MSCI, Radius, Property Data, Agents Insight).
