Data is at the heart of everything that Sage does, and the Central Data Office works horizontally across Sage to make sure we use data and insight to deliver on our purpose to knock down barriers and create connections and opportunities for customers and colleagues.  The newly formed BI and Analytics Hub is central to the success of our enterprise data strategy and maximizing the value of our data; helping teams to create a single version of the truth through governed, shareable Data Products.

This role is one of four key roles working for the VP Data and Analytics in the Hub.  Working closely with the Data Analysis and Data Product teams, you will be the driving force behind maturing the BI and Analytics Architecture for our Sage business teams. Your deep technical expertise will also be instrumental in shaping data models and solutions that underpin the creation and evolution of Enterprise Data Products.  The successful candidate will manage a small team of data experts with architecture, solution design, and data modelling skills and work with engineering teams in IT on the data pipeline and the Data Product team in the Hub to ensure all desired data assets are fit for purpose. You will stay close to industry advances in BI & Analytics tooling and technology, explore opportunities to use AI for automation and augmentation and carry out tooling assessments and trials working with IT to ensure the BI & Analytics Architecture is up to date and fit for the future.

As a senior leader of the Hub, the Director, Architecture and Modelling (BI and Analytics Hub), will help build the community of data users and consumers through coaching, training, and hands-on instruction where needed, continuing to democratise data with the appropriate guardrails to protect it and ensure its validity.  The Hub will work closely with the Central Data Office teams, to focus efforts across the data community (the craft) on prioritised, value-driven business outcomes and ensure that results are measured, and data products are governed so we can truly mature our enterprise data capabilities and data culture at Sage.
