Job Description:

This is a fixed-term contract for a senior analytics engineer in our Data and Analytics team. We seek individuals with advanced data analysis, data modelling expertise, and exceptional documentation skills. This role will support key UK projects, including data profiling and integration efforts for critical initiatives.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modelling techniques
  • Experience with data profiling and data quality assessment
  • Familiarity with data integration tools and processes (e.g., Databricks, OneTrust)
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with customer and consumer intelligence data (Nice to have)
  • Retail experience, particularly with shopper insights (Nice to have)

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Support the Lead Analytics Engineer by mentoring team members, providing guidance on best practices, offering technical support, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Share ideas, promote best practices, and suggest enhancements to processes and frameworks, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Lead the development of insightful data models and analytics products, aligning with our Common Data Model (CDM) and fulfilling strategic requirements within product squads.
  • Support key UK projects, including the Kennel Club, Wildest, and consent management initiatives, by leading data profiling, integration, and ingestion support.
  • Partner with Petcare divisions to source, refine, and profile data, driving the creation of cross-divisional data products.
  • Actively contribute within analytics product squads, working alongside Product Leads, Development Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Develop and update comprehensive documentation and playbooks, making methodologies and insights accessible across the organisation.
  • Coordinate with product leads on project scope, timelines, and deliverables to ensure efficient delivery
