We create and deliver an aligned, dedicated marketing strategy to fuel each Expedia Group brand's success. Since our travelers interact with us through our brands, we have a brand focus in our marketing, while leveraging the scale and efficiency we’ve built in functional expertise.

Expedia Marketing Data Engineering (MDE) provides Channels, Finance and Analytics across Expedia Group with access to datasets that define, measure, and manage the Marketing function.

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to lead the development and management of our unified client-side and server-side marketing tagging solution. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, efficient, and scalable data sharing with marketing partners while having strict compliance with data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical knowledge, marketing acumen, and product management expertise.

As a Product Manager III on the Marketing Data Engineering team, you will build Tagging products that enable EG Marketers to optimize campaigns leveraging partner bidding.

 

In this role you will:

  • Continue enhancements to Expedia's client and server-side tagging platform that evolves to address new partner advancements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and integration teams to develop and maintain robust tagging frameworks.
  • Influence partners to adopt best practices that optimize tagging delivery methods.
  • Lead the transition from client-side to server-side tagging where appropriate, optimizing performance and data accuracy.
  • Ensure data collection processes comply with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal governance standards.

 

Experience and qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management, digital analytics, or marketing technology.
  • Proven experience with Tag Management Systems (TMS) and server-side tagging solutions.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, HTTP protocols, and API integrations.
  • Knowledge of server-side tracking methods and tools (e.g., Tag Commander).
  • Experience with data layers, debugging tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Google Tag Assistant), and performance monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
