2020 has been a year that has impacted our entire Women in Data community and the shockwaves from this will continue to challenge us, for some time to come. We know that Women in Data’s work in the community is essential to keep us all connected, innovating and focussed on the future in these testing times.
Women in Data has worked hard to support its network during this pandemic, offering guidance, networking, mentoring and development whenever and wherever it can. Our community has been central to keeping commerce open for business, Government departments informed, feeding the nation, connecting us in technology, and so much more. We want to celebrate you, your resilience and brilliance, while building foundations for the difficult times ahead.
We are not able to meet in person for our flagship event and celebrate with a show like 2019, however we will mark our annual event virtually. This will allow us to gather together, support each other, celebrate and learn, while in a safe virtual environment, driven with content that WiD’s need right now! This is a unique opportunity for WiD to showcase its many positives to an unrestricted audience, making it more inclusive than ever and without restrictions on location, capacity or gender!
If you are not yet a member of Women in Data, please sign up for all the news, events and opportunities being hosted in #WidWeek2020.
2019 saw Women in Data turn social media red with its content. This year we intend to do the same but virtually. Wear something red 23rd-26th November to demonstrate bravery and the positive outlook of our data community in unprecedented times. #wearitred
