Name: Charlotte Frijns, GroupM UK CFO

Charlotte will introduce GroupM

Bio:

Charlotte Frijns joined GroupM UK as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in May 2018.
Reporting to GroupM UK CEO Tom George, Frijns heads up the finance division leading on the strategy and day-to-day management of the operation.

In 2007, Frijns joined Publicis Groupe as Finance Manager for ZenithOptimedia UK. During her time at Publicis she held a variety of roles across the business, including Finance Director for Digitas UK, CFO for ZenithOptimedia UK and Commercial Director for Zenith Worldwide.

Originally from The Netherlands, Frijns started her career at VNU Publishing in 1999, before joining PwC’s Transaction services team in Amsterdam where she worked in the mergers and acquisitions team.

Name: Ross Barnes, M/Six Group Chief Technology Officer

Bio:

Digital and technology leader for the agency. Responsible for the agency’s approach to digital and data platforms, both proprietary and bespoke; and the integration of client’s media and business technology solutions. A renowned industry expert, he provides comment and thought leadership on many topics in industry press as well as broadcast stations such as the BBC.

Ross has been with M/Six since the Autumn of 2010 and is responsible for all digital planning within the agency working across all clients. Having worked both agency and client side, he brings us a wealth of experience having worked with brands including Coca-Cola, 20th Century Fox, HBoS and T-Mobile.

A published author, Ross brings twenty years of digital experience to the team from both a media and technology point of view. He truly believes that creative use of technology can solve the greatest advertising challenges.

Bio:

After graduating in Business Information/Business Systems she joined Telecom New Zealand and she has built a successful career around data and tech within marketing services. Lily is now Head of Data & Technology at Wavemaker and manages a team of 20 that covers ad ops, technical consulting, data platforms and innovation and therefore sees the challenges of developing a diverse team within tech.

At home she’s one half of another team, parenting two children under 7 – so it’s fair to say that she has a good understanding of some of the challenges women frequently encounter when simultaneously building a career and a family.

Bio:

Bini has over 10 years of Media Analytics experience and a thorough knowledge of measurement of all channels; importantly trying to understand media attribution and the combined online and offline impact.  Prior to m/SIX, Bini spent 3 years at MediaCom working for Boots, E.on and Ikea econometrics and has previously worked across Samsung, Kraft, Pizza Hut, Honda, Wateraid, Which and Warner Leisure.  Her passion for data and measurements comes from her curiosity for understanding how things work and using data to answer unknowns.

Bio:

Emma joined MediaCom Business Science in 2008 as a Graduate Econometrician.  Over the years she has worked on a wide range of clients including RBS, RSPCA, VWG, Boots, TUI and Open University. Now as a Director in the team, she oversees all recruitment and training for the department, ensuring we remain at the forefront of marketing analytics for our clients.  Her work has been industry recognised by the IPA, MediaWeek and Campaign.

Name: Catherine Cooke, Mindshare Business Director

Title: A session with two female Group M rising stars

Bio:

Catherine has nine years of experience working within the field of social analysis. During this time, she has pioneered new social listening techniques and applications for the insights generated. Catherine’s focus has been to bring together analytics and strategy, working to create social listening insights that are useful and can be applied to marketing strategies.

In her current role as Digital Insights Director at Mindshare, Catherine has worked on several insights projects for clients including government, charity, fashion and telecomms. A project for Three recently won the MRS 2018 Social Media Research award.

Name: Silvia Sparry, Xaxis Managing Director Operations EMEA

Bio:

Silvia Sparry is a seasoned programmatic advertising professional, team lead and public speaker with a passion for driving client success, innovation, operational excellence and managing change. She joined Xaxis in 2013 and built out the UK Campaign Management and Analytics & Insights functions to meet the increasing demands of the business. Balancing a background in the creative industries with a solid understanding of technology, analytics and business strategy, she has a proven track record of crowdsourcing and implementing impactful advertising technology solutions.

Name: Bethan Herring, Wavemaker Data Scientist

Bio:

I build and run all statistical tests and scope and build projects through the use of python, sql and r. I work across a range of platforms from adh/gcp to aws.

Projects I work on range from: display lift, project bridge and algorithm based scripts.

Current areas I’m working on expanding my knowledge in are the advancement of technologies built on adh and the areas of the company we have sufficient data for machine learning advancement.

Having graduated in mathematics, Bethan wanted a role that would challenge her both technically and creatively. Working as a data scientist in data innovation has allowed her to develop a range of additional technical skills (across coding and algorithm development). Using these alongside her statistical knowledge she designs and builds statistical testing tools. Alongside bots that use algorithms to improve performance and support internal teams.

In her spare time she enjoys weight lifting, baking (with mixed success) and listening to a wide range of podcasts.

Name: Olga Zaitseva, MediaCom Business Science Director

Bio:

Olga joined MediaCom’s London Business Science team in 2008 after running the Business Science team in Russia for a few years. Olga has run and headed up analytics projects across a wide range of local and global clients, including Shell global, Bayer global, IKEA UK, Boots, Selfridges, VW, Nokia, GSK, Cancer Research UK, etc.

Olga is an expert at managing market mix modelling and other analytics projects across multiple markets and turning the data into useful and actionable insights which help our clients improve their business performance.

Olga holds a BSc and MSc(Hons) degree in computer science and applied mathematics.

Bio:

Revathy is a seasoned IT professional with Business Analyst experience in bluechip investment banks. She holds a Computer Science qualification and completed an Immersive Data Science program in Machine Learning, Data Visualisation, Data Analysis and Big Data management. As a member of the EMEA Data Science team she leverages machine learning to optimise client outcomes on online advertising campaigns.
