Jennifer

Name: Jennifer Rigby
Job title: COO

Jennifer started her professional life as a librarian, working with the BBC’s Archives on a daily basis. After four years of working on various programmes she moved through a number of roles in the BBC including both production and strategy for content management, search, web products and technology. The highlight of her time at the BBC was being the Executive Producer of the Creative Archive project which won a BAFTA for Online Innovation.

After 12 years, Jennifer left the BBC to work at The National Archives as Head of IT Strategy, responsible for technology strategy including software development, web delivery and knowledge and information management. Jennifer then moved to central government and into the Home Office in 2008. She became the CIO at the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in January 2011 with responsibility for IT, Sustainability, Estates, Security and Knowledge and Information Management. The Sustainability team that Jennifer led delivered a reduction of more than 21% in carbon emissions in response to the Prime Minister’s 10% challenge. In January 2012 Jennifer became the Chair of the Green Delivery Unit responsible for leading the delivery of the Government Green ICT strategy. She was also nominated as the fifth most influential Woman in IT in the Computer Weekly awards whilst at DECC.

Early in 2013, Jennifer moved back to the Home Office to be Director of Corporate Security and Senior Information Risk Owner for the Home Office. Leading a team of 500 staff managing corporate services, strategy and policy for all aspects of Security, Integrity and Knowledge and Information Management. In January 2014 Jennifer became Head of Profession for Knowledge and Information Management for government alongside her Home Office duties

Jennifer was also a non exec of a midlands based Agile project management consultancy for 3 years. 

After starting at Telefonica UK in September 2014 as Head of Channels, Jennifer held responsibility for providing technology solutions for Online, Retail and Voice Channels focusing on driving faster time to market and agility providing excellent and market leading digital experiences to all customers. Jennifer won The IT Transformation of the Year Award in 2016 for her work.

Jennifer joined Lloyd’s in May 2017 as CIO running the Corporation’s IT services globally, including operations, development, security and architecture. She was promoted in 2019 to Chief Operations Officer at Lloyd’s and became Executive Sponsor of the Future at Lloyd’s Programme towards the end of 2019. She is a member of the Boards of LIMOSS and TMEL in the London market.

Jo Scott

Name: Jo Scott
Job title: Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

As Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Jo is responsible for promoting and protecting Lloyd’s brand and reputation globally. 

She joined Lloyd’s from the London Stock Exchange in 2004, working in a number of senior communications roles before being promoted to Chief Marketing and Communications Officer in January 2020.

Jo is married and has three children.

Jo shares insights from the Lloyd’s market as it works hard to move from good intentions to positive and measurable change.

Charlotte

Name: Charlotte Redeker
Job title: Data Graduate

Charlotte is a Lloyd’s Graduate in her first placement having joined in October 2019. During the course of the scheme, Charlotte will have four placements across the Corporation and the wider insurance/reinsurance market. 

Charlotte is currently working within the Data Lab focussing on engagement with the Corporation and also focusing on Data Governance. 

Prior to joining Lloyd’s, Charlotte graduated with Honours from the University of Sheffield studying Economics and has had experienced a variety of Financial Service industries.

Ann

Name: Ann McManus
Job Title: Data Privacy Manager

As a data protection specialist, Ann promotes good data governance and practice to ensure Lloyd’s manages data in a way that complies with regulation and promotes best practice.  

Last year Ann prepared for and passed the New York Bar exam at the same time as stepping up into her current role and training for a half marathon. She’s happy to share tips on confronting challenges while maintaining a positive outlook.  

Ann has a Masters in Law and Economics that she completed at 3 universities in Italy, Germany and Israel.
