About the role

The Senior Power BI Developer will be responsible for the delivery of data and reporting projects in alignment with the BI change framework. Your work will materially shape the functionality of new products and you will work with the business stakeholders to make sure the product meets their requirements.

In delivering the right data in the right way to the business, this role will be instrumental in delivering the vision for BI in the company. Directly and positively impacting the data-driven decisions that are taken in the business, therefore making sure that data is put at the heart of decision making.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Working collaboratively to deliver data and reporting projects whilst taking a proactive approach to establishing the data and reporting needs of the business.
  • Presents development project overviews to the team and other interested parties, providing both business insights and technical views as to how deliveries have been planned and issues overcome.
  • Understanding the systems and data used across the business including its products and processes to enable data enrichment and quality.
  • Understand the business requirements for reporting and translate these into tangible reports and dashboards.
  • Communicate, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand key business questions so that the right reports and data can be created to effectively answer questions
  • Develop and update actionable reports and datasets for key stakeholders using various reporting and query tools to create reporting data assets


What you’ll bring

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience in Developing & Building Data Pipelines in SQL.
  • Commercial experience working in a MI/BI team within a demanding business using large and varied datasets (100GB +)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, especially with regards to quantitative and data visualization problems
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills
