  • Consumer;
  • Telecoms, Media and Technology;

For this role, we are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager who will help deliver on our ambitious plans to grow our Consumer industry practice. As a Manager/Senior Manager, you will be working collaboratively across the data, analytics and AI domains, helping some of the largest, most interesting organisations in the world imagine, deliver and run the future - transforming complex business problems and requirements into practical, implementable solutions.

Within our CPS Data Risk and Analytics team you will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of insight across a diverse range of prestigious Consumer industry clients both in the UK and internationally. The Consumer industry is an exciting and diverse sector comprising: Consumer Products; Retail, Wholesale and Distribution; Automotive; and Transport Hospitality and Services.

Your role

The successful candidate will have responsibility for:

  • Supporting our Consumer clients to grow responsibly through the use of applied data and analytics.
  • Supporting the Consumer sector leadership in growing our risk analytics business.
  • Support the establishment of a repertoire of analytical models and approaches for clients.
  • Work with other Deloitte functions to further the use of data & analytics in go to market activities.
  • Management of a consultancy team to support the delivery of work.
  • Build strong relationships with key Deloitte and client contacts.
  • Enhance the value of our deliverables and the insights provided by our work.
  • Support reviews in areas such as regulatory compliance, process and control effectiveness, data quality or data accuracy.
  • Working with existing clients to design and develop programs of analytics.
  • Supporting the senior management team with go to market activities relating to risk advisory and analytics projects.
  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; having a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

This role can be based in London or regional offices, however, majority of your time will be spent at client site. Some domestic or international travel may be required

Your professional experience
To qualify for the role you must have:

  • The ability to work on your own initiative and in many different and challenging environments.
  • Strong planning, organisation and people management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at our clients.
  • Experience of managing, strengthening and broadening key client relationships.
  • The ability to determine client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches.
  • Consumer industry experience such as gained from Consumer industries such as Consumer Products, Retail, Wholesale and Distribution, Transport, Hospitality or Services.

Additional desirable experience includes any of the following:

  • Delivering a broad range of data analytics engagements in areas such as, Data Architecture, Data Migration, Data Analytics, Data Governance and Data Quality.
  • Applying Data science, Analytics and ML/AI to deliver business value.
  • Application of operational Research and optimisation to deliver business value
  • Supply chain experience in a consulting or industry capacity
  • Working with analytical tools, for example: Python, SQL, Alteryx, R, SAS, Excel, relational and non-relational databases, ETL and Data Pipelines.
  • Working with visualisation tools, for example: Qlikview, QlikSense, Tableau or Power BI.
  • Working with cloud technologies, for example: Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Degree and / or relevant professional qualification.
