This is a newly created position within our Western Europe BI & Analytics team, and we welcome candidates who have 3-5 years working experience in data analytics and data visualization tools such as Power BI. You can either base in our headquarter in Billund or London hub.

Core Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated data scientist to be on the value creation journey. As our new data scientist, you will identify business opportunities and predict future trends. You will uncover unexpected data insights which will help the LEGO Group reach more children. You will support the BI leaders in Western Europe and help them drive the business.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop data analytical method and ML models for predictive analysis.
• Run correlation analysis to determine the leading indicators.
• Create insights from internal and external data sources, better estimating the sales and the shopper behaviors.
• Act as a great teammate and support your colleagues with data visualization (Power BI) and engineering tasks.
• Understand the business needs and constantly seek for growth opportunities.
• Develop the team competencies on data science techniques, building cases from analysis.

Our team is composed of BI leaders and BI professionals across the Western Europe countries. Our mission is 2-fold: (i) to report and analyze the company performance and (ii) accelerating the growth through a deep shopper understanding, an ability to predict the future and to influence business decisions.

Do you have what it takes?

You have a background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics Economics or in relation with Business Operation. You have a relevant experience of 3 to 5 years' working as a data scientist in a multinational company developing market insights reports and uncovering the patterns in data. You are curious, determined and love experimenting new solutions. In addition, you have:
• Expertise in R/Python including libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Scikit Learn, TensorFlow.
• Expertise in data visualization tool like Power BI would be essential
• Knowledge of NLP, SAS
• Strong business sense and experience working with multi-dimensional team.
• Strong collaboration skills and proficiency to work in English.
Nice to have:
• Experience in similar analytical roles within the Retail industry.
• Experience in Google analytics or text analytics.
