GSK R&D and Digital and Tech’s collective goal is to deliver business impact, including the acceleration of the discovery and development of medicines and vaccines to patients.  The R&D Digital and Tech remit has expanded over the past 2 years, and to position GSK for the future, The change will strengthen R&D Tech, to provide more strategic impact, focus, accountability, and improved decision making in the use of Digital, Data and Analytics (DDA) to strengthen the pipeline.

 

Technical Delivery Lead

Technical Delivery Lead s is accountable for the continuous improvement and engineering of new capabilities across GSKs Veeva Development Cloud platform focussing on enabling workflows across the Veeva Development Cloud platform solutions and integrations with GSK’s data and analytics platform. You will lead x-Vault teams, working closely with GSK’s Veeva Development Cloud centre of excellence, product, architecture, and quality assurance teams to influence the design and regular release of new functionality and integrations across the platform.

You will work in most of the technologies required for integrating Veeva Vault solutions with a Data Fabric (e.g. REST  API  and  authentication,  Python/PySpark,  Databricks,  Azure  Data  Factory/ETL,  ADLS  2.0, Denodo/Virtualization, Snowflake/SQL Server) and work on automated testing and release of platform configurations and integrations enabling high quality and problem free adoption of new product releases.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Track record of engineering and delivery of flexible, scalable, and supportable applications to large complex, global organisations.
  • Agile, DevOps & Automation [of testing, build, deployment, CI/CD, etc.].
  • Testing strategies & frameworks.
  • Track record of designing and delivering solutions compliant with information security standards, industry regulations and legislation.
  • Ability to lead and direct a team of GSK and 3rd party sourced technical resources from our strategic partners.
  • Demonstrated skill in delivering solutions that integrate commercial off-the-shelf products into a complex enterprise landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer focus and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Track record of engineering and delivery of flexible, scalable and supportable Veeva Development Cloud (Regulatory, Clinical Operations, CDMS and Quality Vault) implementations and integrations.
  • Experience in agile development and DevOps & ITIL, relevant technology platforms [e.g. Kubernetes, Equalum, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Power BI], cloud technologies & data structures (i.e. information management) and data models
  • Knowledge of industry standards and technology platforms aligned to Medicines and Vaccines R&D
  • Experience with agile development methods, with security strategies and best practices, data integration mechanisms, architectural design tools, delivering and integrating COTS applications, areas of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Business Process Management and Data Quality.
