Name: Claire Hobson
Claire has always had a passion for science, reading Chemistry at Durham University. It was whilst studying for her Masters in Marketing that Claire developed a passion for using analytics to drive decisions and quantify the true value of advertising efforts. Following university, Claire joined a digital agency where she initially analysed and optimised performance of programmatic display and video campaigns. She went on to develop programmatic strategies for clients, using her knowledge of the data and technology within the ecosystem.
For the last 3 years, Claire has been working at Facebook as a member of the Marketing Science team based in London. Claire consults with the UK’s biggest e-commerce companies to help them grow their businesses using data and science. In practice this means working closely with their marketing teams and agencies to create a bespoke test and learn strategy to optimise Facebook investment, whilst also helping them to understand the true value of Facebook alongside their other media investments. Claire also organises monthly lunch and learns, inviting industry figures to present to the EMEA Marketing Science team about what their area of expertise.
In her spare time Claire enjoys being outdoors and keeping active. A keen triathlete, long distance runner and Captain of the Facebook touch rugby team. Claire is always on the lookout for her next challenge.
